If the recession is hitting PR and media badly, then why is it…

(and I don’t think it is, not yet, but it will)

If it’s all doom and gloom, could someone please tell me why S1 Jobs currently has more than 60 postings for PR positions (some with marketing skills) – with more than 90% of them for agencies? (Having said that, JobJourney doesn’t have nearly as many.)

I know some think it’s better/more secure to be in an agency than in-house during a recession (I’m 50/50 on that) but either no-one is moving from in-house (which would prove my point), lots of people have left agencies to go in-house (ditto), spend more time with their families or agencies are going to town up here, expanding, thinking there’s money to be made.
