Right, doing this one quickly and messily just to judge interest (and because I need to be somewhere else five minutes ago).
The Digital Britain Unconferences are being held after a general consideration that the official conference for Digital Britain (Digital Britain: The Interim Report – On 29 January 2009 the Government published a plan to secure Britain’s place at the forefront of the global digital economy – http://www.culture.gov.uk/what_we_do/broadcasting/5944.aspx ) was incredibly poor (apart from Stephen Fry) and secured by old media companies to moan more than anything else. So the unconference was born:

Anyway, if a free event was held in Glasgow between now and May 12, would you be willing to go along? If there’s a decent response, let’s get this set up. (note, this is completely different from the Digital Media Meal)

8th or 11th of May being suggested – 8th might be better as it’s a Friday – anyone got any problems with that if I make it the pm?
Looking like Friday May 8 in the afternoon – would that work for people?
If the dates fit im sure the guys here would be in! 8th may certainly suits better…but might be too short notice for a lot of people?
I’m afraid early May is not too good for me at all but certainly be interested to hear how this one goes and perhaps be an etendee of future Digital Britain Unconferences.

Alex, the unconferences have to be held by May 12 hence the rush, but it’s starting to look like the afternoon of May 8 is the winner. If we get at least 20 people saying they are up for it, I’ll book a venue.
Sounds good, I’d attend, pretty busy atm but it would be worth putting on.
I could arguably make May 8th, given I have a flight to Moscow is early on May 9th!
Can probably make it, depending on the date.
