I had this told to me earlier today by a contact that – while having had no contact with before – has impeccible credentials in this and I have no reason to doubt him. In less than 30mins Matt Smith will be unveiled as the 11th Doctor.
I’m shocked at the news. Well done to Matt, but so not what was expected – and I have a couple of insiders that I need to beat with a stick.

Yup. If anyone is wondering why I never said earlier than at the last possible minute, I was asked not to go wide with the news, so all I did was contact a few people who can verify that I told them before the news broke. Glad Rich took it to the masses though.
