Tomorrow night at 5.35pm, Saturday Jan 3, the BBC is going to reveal the new Doctor Who. Now bearing in mind that I was the man who revealed to the world that David Tennent was going to be the tenth doctor – and I’m told by a BBC chum that it’s my fault they are revealing this one so early (or as he put it “to avoid the cock-up of the last time”) -I’ve been asked a few times if I have any ideas on who it’s going to be… and yes I do.
( I still have a thought that there’s a chance for James Nesbitt or Paterson Joseph) but people better versed and connected than me say that it’s down to one of the following two:
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Now the person who confirmed David Tennent as Doc Ten for me is long gone, so I can’t say for sure, but the inside gossip – or a very well run disinformation campaign – is that as of tomorrow either Sean Pertwee or Chiwetel Ejiofor will be confirmed as the new Doctor Who.
There’s a PR angle that I’ll come back to on this in a later post. I just wanted to get my thoughts up on this just now. And I’ll have some more thoughts on both men later too…

I think David should remain as The Doctor, I started watching the show once he came on.
his attitude is perfect for the job and his acting is impeccable.
I think hiring a Black actor for the job because either it is the right time or the fact that there has been no black doctor till date is just wrong… in fact that is being more racist than anything….
But, I feel only the right person for the job should be picked… If they want to change the doctor, so be it, but, the right choice…. not a compromise….
