Just heard that the four remaining members of the Scottish Daily Mirror have been told that the sports desk is being wiped out and the three news reporters have the option of applying for the one reporters’ position that’s going to survive.
Damn.
More later, but this is a crying shame for a bunch of people who have consistently knocked their pan in since the paper was cut from 30 staff to four just a handful of Xmas’ ago.
